Governor McAuliffe Announces Administration Appointments
RICHMOND – Governor Terry McAuliffe announced additional appointments to his Administration today. The appointees will join McAuliffe’s Administration focused on finding common ground with members of both parties on issues that will build a new Virginia economy and create more jobs across the Commonwealth.
Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry
Megan Seibel, Deputy Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry
Megan Seibel has been appointed to the position of Deputy Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry. Megan most recently served as Assistant Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry. Previously she served as the inaugural director of the Virginia Agriculture Leaders Obtaining Results (VALOR) Program at Virginia Tech. She is also the Associate Director for the Center of Cooperative Problem Solving at Virginia Tech and an Associate Fellow of the Occupational Research Centre in the UK. Megan received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from James Madison University, her Master of Science in Career and Technical Education from Virginia Tech, and her Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural and Extension Education from Virginia Tech. Megan and her family manage a wine grape and beef cattle operation in Botetourt County.

Lieutenant Mitchell L. Nason, Chair
Mitch is a firefighter/paramedic with the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue. Mitch was first appointed to the VRS Board in 2008 and reappointed in 2013. He received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University. He currently resides in Stafford County with his wife and three children.
O’Kelly E. McWilliams III
O’Kelly serves as Managing Partner of Gordon & Rees Scully Mansukhani’s Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland offices. O’Kelly is a graduate of Longwood University and earned his law degree at George Mason University. He currently resides in Oakton with his wife and two children.
