Governor McAuliffe Announces Administration Appointments
RICHMOND – Governor Terry McAuliffe announced additional appointments to his Administration today. The appointees will join McAuliffe’s Administration focused on finding common ground with members of both parties on issues that will build a new Virginia economy and create more jobs across the Commonwealth.

Cassidy Rasnick, Deputy Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry
Cassidy Rasnick has been appointed to the position of Deputy Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry. Cassidy re-joins the administration from the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS), serving as Manager of the Office of Agriculture and Forestry Development. Prior to joining VDACS in September, Cassidy served as Assistant Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry for Governor McAuliffe. A native of Botetourt County, Cassidy is a graduate of James Madison University, where she received a BA in English and a BA in Political Science.
Ronique Day, Assistant Secretary of Transportation
Ronique Day has been appointed to the position of Assistant Secretary in the Office of the Secretary of Transportation, after previously serving as a Policy Analyst. Prior to her appointment, Ronique worked at the Virginia Department of Transportation as a Procurement Policy Analyst. She began her tenure at VDOT as a Core Development Associate, a program designed to build a leadership pipeline. Ronique holds a BA in Paralegal Studies from the University of Richmond and a MS from Virginia Commonwealth University.
